No Matter How Far You Have Gone From Me.....Poem by Sanish Cherian

No Matter How Far You Have Gone From Me.....

So sure that my words will reach,
I write to the person whom you were
and are no more.

You withdrew from existence
To merge in the wider universe
And become
the past, present and future of time.

I witnessed
the long and hard way you climbed to the
dream.
Now, I witness how well you built the bridge
between existence and eternity.

Your existence
Was a hymn to life’s glory.
It blew my sails to life’s distant horizons
And powered my wings to
the furthest dimensions of imagination.

Your glorious embrace of eternity
Showed me how truly death
is an extension of life.

Be pleased.
You made me clearly discern
between life & survival.
I am pleased.
You are there
more than ever

Will Love You Always No Matter How Far You Have Gone From Me.....

Essay - My Grandfather by Maliha Mehamood Hakim

My Grandfather

Of all the people in my family, I admire my Grandfather the most.

Not only is he the most inspirational person from our family but I don’t think I can ever find any person like him to whom I can look upto.

His main qualities are his hardwork, honesty and a God Fearing Personality.

At the age of 11 years, he became Quran Hafiz and when he grew up, he became a Pharmacist.

He started working from a very young age of 18 years and continued working till the age of 75.

He ensured that all his sons including my father were well educated as he knew the importance of education in today’s world.

He gave all his sons not only worldly knowledge but also made sure that they are also equipped with Islamic Knowledge as he knew that this life is only temporary and to succeed in this life and hereafter you should follow the Islamic teachings.

All his life he did everything on his own without taking any help or obligations from anyone. He bowed to ALLAH and asked help only  from the Almighty.

Although, he could not make much money in his life, but Alhamdulillah, he satisfied all the requirements of his family with whatever he earned.

He always guides us in our life and we are very happy and lucky to seek his advice.

When I grow up, I want to follow in his footsteps so that I could be successful both in this World and hereafter.

May ALLAH give him a long life so that he can continue guiding us for many years to come.

                                Aameen!

Manzil - Creativity at it's best

Manzil - Creativity at it's best

Drawing and painting projects are perfect for children who have trouble expressing themselves verbally, whether the child has a speech issue or hearing impaired and  doesn't communicate well vocally. Drawing and painting allows these children to bring their feelings out visually, which improves their artistic ability as well as their communication skills. Drawing and painting is often a good way to get children to express themselves on their own terms.

We at Manzil are so glad that our art activities have nurtured the development of cognitive and motor skills of our students.  Art is also a great sensory experience! Messes aside, this activity has given our students the opportunity to work with several different kinds of materials that can stimulate the senses.

The parents are often surprised to know that a piece of paper or canvas that their child just scribbled or painted on, is so valuable.

Manzil Art Collection

The student’s creative endeavors were so amazing that we at Manzil decided to use Art to introduce our students to the UAE public in the form of an annual art collection. The very first collection of 2006 comprised 32 pictures (on canvas) by every student at the center.

The collection was extremely well received by the public and is now a regular annual feature. Each collection is based on a unique theme.

The 2006 collection was titled ‘Ki-I Did It, in 2008 ‘Flora & Fauna’ series received many accolades, ‘Midas Touch’ 2009 series comprises 48 most amazing pieces, each unique with its own distinctive style.

Each piece of artwork is done by the student alone and at the center. Students are encouraged to title their own piece and to dictate or write a comment about their artistic creation and about themselves. Minimal guidance or direction is provided by the teaching staff.

What started as a therapy class has now burgeoned into art collections and we at Manzil together with our supporters conduct art auctions and take special customized orders for greeting cards, images on mugs, place mats, T-shirts etc. In addition our large canvases adorn the walls of corporate offices and people’s homes.
